this abstract is masterfully composed i think
textures and colors are perfect
but it REALLY needs to be cleaned of the noise / poor image quality
did you shoot in high iso, or was it heavily cropped ?

@  blackshad: the noise is because of a to short exposer time (1/125) => a to dark image => lightend up.... also becouse the the original file was 3280x2454 and it had to be sharped after resize

Maybe the contrast needs to ga a little higher, to accentuate the whiter areas... The small DOF is a good decision I think, any bigger would make it less interesting, cause we would be able to look directly IN the flower... Not pretty that way, but with a smaller DOF your safe

I removed the noise, but I pushed it to the max ^^ This way your picture becomes very blurred, and gives a weird effect to the photo.

Weird, and a bit artificial maybe, but interesting I hope you dont mind I borrowed your picture... Its deleted from my PC now anyway.

I like it, but clean up the noise, or resize it better. Its not always necessary to sharpen the image. Look at the final result and think: is this what I want? And undo the sharpening if needed

Millink's version is better noise-wise, but it killed the colour. You need a combination for a perfect shot.

quite nice. i don't get all this picking. i agree about the noise-it should be cleaned a bit, but besides it's pretty ok.
btw Millink noise correction is a bit too much to the other side.

Nice shot, but the noise is really bothering me. But my friend millink got carried away with NeatImage the picture is a bit to dark, I would edit that. Because a longer shutter time is not an option, you lose a lot of colour that way.
