Good idea, fairly well executed. The light is indeed a bit strong. One or two stops down with the exposure bias might have been better. The face, shoulder and fingers would have been perfectly exposed, and I think it would have helped getting the contrast everseen has mentioned. Very nice shot anyway.

Nice light placement. But what the heck settings did you use? ISO 1250 with only 1/90 at f/4? Were you lighting with candles? I have to say that the smoke in her face gives a choking feeling. Blowing the smoke to the side might have avoided this.
